The three Broward County high school baseball players who participated in the Under Armour All-America game may have been on the losing side of the annual all-star game, but one of them is coming home with a big individual honor.

Coral Springs’ Lewis Brinson hit a pair of home runs during each round of the Baseball Factory Run Derby to take the top spot in the event.

Brinson, an outfielder, was invited to compete in this year’s Under Armour All-America game along with Archbishop McCarthy pitcher Nick Travieso and Mavericks’ infielder Nick Basto.

All three Broward players competed on the American roster, which fell 6-4 to the National roster. Only 36 players nationwide were invited to compete in the event.
