Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Kourtney Kardashian, Jessica Szohr, and Ashley Tisdale

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Kourtney Kardashian, Jessica Szohr, and Ashley Tisdale. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Kourtney Kardashian’s London Look

Kourtney Kardashian looked trendy while abroad in London with her family. The stylish star wore red skinny jeans with black riding boots and a navy military-esque blazer featuring buttons and fun gold pins. She accessorized her look with oversized sunglasses (a Kardashian signature) and a black bag.

Kourtney’s outfit is great spring inspiration since it has a classic look to it, thanks to its equestrian feel, but is also really current, incorporating fun spring trends like colored skinny jeans and oversized shades.

Colored skinny jeans have been an ongoing trend for a while now, and it seems like they’re here to stay. What’s not to love, though? Outfits can always benefit from a pop of color, and colored denim is a great alternative to basic blue.

Some red skinny jeans totally pop in Kourtney’s look when paired with classic pieces like black riding boots and a navy military-esque blazer. To keep things trendy, accessorize with some oversized sunglasses and a black satchel bag — this one has gold chain detailing which gives it extra flair.

Look 2: Jessica Szohr’s White Night Out

Actress Jessica Szohr turned heads while out for the night in Hollywood in a white lace mini dress and some awesome coral-colored pumps. Jessica’s look is perfect for spring or summer – I’m in love with how the bright coral contrasts with her white dress, giving the basic outfit a perfect pop of color.

The best part? This look can work day or night for any event that requires you dress up a bit.

I am a big fan of the little white dress, especially during the spring and summer, because it has such a light, breezy vibe. This white lace dress, similar to Jessica’s, really pops with the help of some coral peep-toe pumps. (Bonus: Coral is another hue that is so perfect for this season!) A rhinestone statement necklace adds extra interest to the look, as does a black and white zig-zag print clutch.

Look 3: Ashley Tisdale’s Walk on the Wild Side

Ashley Tisdale tried out a “wild” look while out and about with her adorable dog in Los Angeles. She wore some faded leopard-print skinny jeans cuffed at the ankle with black low-top Converse sneakers, a loose white tank top, a long pendant necklace, and a gray beanie hat.

Ashley’s look is great because it’s super laid-back (and comfy!), but with trendy touches like the leopard print, necklace, and beanie, this ensemble will also stand out in any crowd.

These leopard print skinny jeans have a faded look to them that makes them super-similar to Ashley’s, which is awesome because the fading means the print won’t become overwhelming. A casual, loose, white tank top also helps balance out the jeans, while a long pendant necklace adds a feminine touch. Accessorize with classic Converse sneakers and a beanie hat like Ashley for a chill look, or try flat sandals and a denim button-down shirt for a different twist.

Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Jessica Alba, Cheryl Cole, & Ashley Benson

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Jessica Alba, Cheryl Cole, and Ashley Benson. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Jessica Alba’s Cozy Chic Ensemble

Jessica Alba

Photo: Pacific Coast News

Jessica Alba looked cozy yet super stylish this week in an outfit consisting of boyfriend jeans, a soft gray sweater, a cropped fur vest, and heeled lace-up booties.

I think we can all agree that any outfit that looks stylish but focuses on comfort is a winner,  and Jessica’s look does just that. The baggy fit of her boyfriend jeans makes them comfortable – though they’re still a step up from leggings or sweats – while her soft oversized sweater also keeps with the cozy feel.  Not one to stop there, however, Jessica also added eye-catching pieces like a fur vest and heeled booties. These details win her look some extra style points.

Boyfriend jeans are awesome because they’re just as comfortable as they are fashionable. Pair some with a loose-fitting light gray sweater, and give the look an infusion of style with a cropped faux fur vest and some lace-up booties. Accessorize with a simple yet cute pendant necklace.

This outfit is especially perfect for this time of year. On one hand, it would be perfect for a trendy mountain lodge vacation, yet it is great for a normal day of shopping or casual holiday festivities.

Look 2: Cheryl Cole’s Classy Camouflage

Cheryl Cole

Songstress Cheryl Cole stepped out in London in a pair of show-stopping camouflage skinny jeans, a trend that’s currently making a splash among celebs and fashion bloggers alike. She dressed her trendy pants up with a blazer and some heeled ankle booties, making the casual pants totally appropriate for a night out.

Get Cheryl’s look by pairing eye-catching camouflage skinny jeans with a casual dark hued henley shirt – together, these pieces form the perfect casual daytime look.  To glam it up for a night out, though, add a black blazer with a leather lapel (for extra sass) and some heeled booties.

Look 3: Ashley Benson’s Cool Casual Look

Ashley Benson

Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson was spotted out and about in a casual outfit with a few cool details that really stood out.  She wore dark skinny jeans with a gray double-breasted wool coat, some studded red flats, oversized sunglasses, and an oversized black bag to match.

Ashley’s outfit, though simple, is made more complex by its details. If you look closely, you’ll notice the interesting cut of her coat’s collar, as well as the cool contrasting shoulder panels and detailing on the cuffs. Coupled with her cool studded flats and matching bag, Ashley’s unique coat helps to bring her look beyond basic.

As every college girl knows, dark skinny jeans are a closet staple – pull on your favorite pair and get started styling for a look like Ashley’s! This gray coat with cool buttons and a stand-up collar is similar to Ashley’s and makes a statement, especially when paired with some red studded flats. Keep your other accessories in the same dark color family – try oversized sunglasses and a large black bag for a casual day on campus.

Celebrity street style: Jessica Alba, Carrie Underwood, and Christa B. Allen

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Jessica Alba, Carrie Underwood, and Christa B. Allen. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Jessica Alba’s Floral Bottoms

Jessica Alba always dresses stylishly, has debuted some extra stylish looks in the last few weeks. One particular look that caught my eye consisted of floral pants, a casual top, leather bomber jacket, gold chain necklace, and black pumps. The bomber jacket adds an athletic vibe to a more feminine look of the floral print pants, creating a chic outfit.

For an outfit inspired by Jessica, I wanted to make her look a bit more warm weather-appropriate, so I replaced the floral pants with some floral tap shorts.  Pair them with a black top and a gold chain necklace to add some bling to the simple, classic shape of the top. For a an athletic vibe – which is a hot spring 2012 fashion trend - add a bomber jacket; this one is made of textured material which is lighter than leather for the season. Cork wedge sandals look great with the shorts, and these silver glittered ones bring out the colors of the shorts. Add a black clutch and you’re ready to go!

Look 2: Carrie Underwood’s Boho Denim Look

Carrie Underwood

Songstress Carrie Underwood worked an ultra-trendy denim-on-denim look, and gave the popular trend a boho twist. She wore a fringed top with a collection of boho-chic necklaces, bracelets, and some nude open-toe heels. When putting together a denim-on-denim look, it’s important to make sure that the shades of denim are different – preferably, one darker shade and one lighter, to break up the uniform texture.

Outfit Inspired by Carrie

Carrie’s look is a slightly dressier way to work a boho look, thanks to pieces like dark denim skinny jeans and nude open-toed heels. I envision this look for a night out to dinner with girlfriends, as it’s casual but still chic. This tie-dye frayed top is perfect for summer music festivals or trips to the beach, but with a denim shirt and some fun boho accessories, plus the dressier jeans and shoes, it becomes a bit more dressy.

Look 3: Christa B. Allen’s Fun Bright Look

Christa B. Allen

Actress Christa B. Allen looked bright and ready for summer in a geometric multi-colored printed skirt, an orange top with cutouts, a white blazer, and black booties. While Christa wore her outfit for a daytime outing, I really like her look for a night out, especially if paired with heels. Christa’s choice of black colored shoes acts like a reverse pop of color – because the look is so bright to begin with, the black breaks up the color and anchors the look.

Christa’s look centers around a colorful geometric printed skirt. Just looking at the one I’ve chosen is making me excited for summer! An orange top in a similar shape to Christa’s keeps with the brightness, as does a white drape collar blazer. Finally, black heels actually look bold and don’t overwhelm the look with too much color.

The Raiders defeated Cypress Bay 4-0 in a state semifinal on Friday to earn the championship berth.

Forward Jessica Hoyt was a big part of the win with three assists and one goal. Here, she talks about what it means to the team that is now preparing to play for its 12th state title.

She also talks about how the Raider defense stepped up to help Ariana Fontenot, a defender who stepped in to play keeper after starter Megan Sweeney was injured in the first half.

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Kim Kardashian, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Clémence Poésy. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Kim Kardashian’s Chic Cold-Weather Look

Kim Kardashian may be going through quite an ordeal thanks to her very public divorce from husband Kris Humphries, but she has not lost her sense of style during the proceedings. Kim looked chic this week in an olive green military-inspired coat, worn over a gray shirt and black skinny pants, with leather over-the-knee boots, a chunky black scarf, and some oversized black aviators. I love how she kept the color scheme neutral, allowing the coat and oversized scarf to really pop.

Black jeggings and a gray t-shirt form the simple (and super comfy!) base for this look. The rest of the pieces, like leather over-the-knee boots, a chunky black infinity scarf, and some black aviator sunglasses boost the look, making it extra chic. But the real “wow” factor comes from adding a military-inspired jacket – this olive green cape coat has toggle closures similar to Kim’s, and is a stylish way to keep warm.

Look 2: Sarah Jessica Parker’s Flowy Fall Ensemble

We all know Sarah Jessica Parker loves fashion, and as such, she is constantly experimenting with trends. While traveling recently, she wore a flowy maxi skirt with a creme knit sweater, along with some ankle boots and a structured handbag worn cross-body.

SJP’s look is an awesome example of a way to wear a summer maxi skirt in cool weather – just pair it with a cozy knit and your favorite pair of boots, and you have a perfectly fall-appropriate outfit.

A maxi skirt in a neutral color is a total wardrobe staple: in the warmer months, it looks stylish paired with a tank or t-shirt, and can be transformed for cooler months with a chunky cable knit sweater like this one. Accessories are key in giving the look its fashion-forward feel: black ankle boots and a large, structured handbag pull it all together.

Look 3: Clémence Poésy’s Unique Hues

Actress Clémence Poésy is an underground style star who knows how to harness the French aesthetic when it comes to dressing. She was recently photographed rocking some softly burnt-out, rose-colored skinny jeans and an oversize cable knit sweater, along with some trendy desert booties.

While many of us tend to wear neutrals and dark hues in fall, Clémence proves that you can still rock color and look fabulous while doing so. By wearing fall-perfect pieces in bold hues, Clémence looks seasonally appropriate while making a serious statement.

To get Clémence’s bold fall look, start with skinny jeans in a rose hue. These jeans from Topshop are tie dyed, so they have the same burnt out look as Clémence’s. Adding a chunky sweater in a brown or dark yellow color helps give the pants a hip, almost vintage vibe and keeps them from looking too ’80s. Lace-up desert booties and a structured bag in the same color scheme complete the outfit.

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Hilary Duff, Lo Bosworth, and Jessica Szohr. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Hilary Duff’s Cool Casuals

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff was all over Paris this past week, and demonstrated how to look chic in casual basics by choosing neutral colors and trendy accessories. She wore skinny jeans with an olive green button-down shirt, which she tied up over the top of her jeans. She wore a black leather jacket on top, and accessorized with an oversize green Balenciaga motorcycle bag, large teardrop earrings, and black pumps.

Hilary’s look starts off with some medium wash skinny jeans. Next, you can find a basic green button-down shirt at Old Navy; make it look chic by using Hilary’s trick of tying it up over your jeans or tucking it in. The black pumps complement a simple black leather jacket, and a matching green satchel (with zipper detailing reminiscent of Hilary’s Balenciaga) pulls the look together.

Look 2: Lo Bosworth’s Neutrals with a Pop of Color

Lo Bosworth

Lo Bosworth looked runway-ready in nude, slouchy trousers and a simple white blouse this week. She gave the look a pop of color by adding a bright pink Balenciaga motorcycle bag. (Recognize the bag? It’s a smaller version of Hilary’s!) She also wore some camel-colored sandals with straps and buckles, as well as an eye necklace and Ray Ban aviators. Lo’s outfit definitely got me in the mood for spring, and I like how it looks chic (and professional) while maintaining a very relaxed and comfortable silhouette.

Topshop has a great selection of pants and trousers in interesting shapes; these particular trousers feature a paper-bag waistline and a loose, comfortable fit. Tuck a white or cream blouse into them, and wear a subtle yet statement-making necklace, like this eye pendant. Although I couldn’t find a close replica of Lo’s bag in pink, this bright blue satchel looks a lot like Lo’s Balenciaga and adds a pop of color to the ensemble. Finish with aviator sunglasses and chunky heeled sandals to complete your look.

Look 3: Jessica Szohr’s Updated Grunge

Jessica Szohr

Jessica Szohr attended a movie premiere in NYC this week and took a classic grunge look into high-fashion territory with a few simple extras. She began with an oversized plaid button down paired with black skinny jeans (hello, grunge), but added extra style with heeled booties, a black peacoat, and a black cloche hat, as well as a black shoulder bag and contrasting brown belt. Notice how she lets the sleeves of her plaid shirt peek out of her coat, breaking up the darkness of her outfit and putting the focus on the pattern.

The main element of Jessica’s outfit is the plaid shirt – to really nail her look, go for one with red and black accents in it. A black tank top or t-shirt, worn underneath, will allow you to leave the shirt unbuttoned – just be sure to tuck it into your black skinny jeans and brown woven belt. On top, wear a black pea coat (and make sure the sleeves of your plaid shirt peek out!), and accessorize with a black cloche hat, a black shoulder bag, and booties — these lace-up ones have gold detailing, which adds a girly touch to this tough look.

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Katie Holmes, Georgia May Jagger, and Jessica Lowndes. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Katie Holmes’ Navy & Olive Combo

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes was in Prague this week, showing off a cute and casual look consisting of olive green skinny pants, a striped tunic, and a navy blazer with large gold buttons, accessorized with neutral flats and black oversized sunglasses. Katie’s outfit is a great example of a way to be comfy but look put-together, and since olive green twill leggings have cropped up everywhere this season, it also showcases their versatility.

Blazer, Pants, Tunic, Flats, Sunglasses

As I mentioned above, many stores have been carrying twill leggings this season — these ones from Forever 21, which feature cargo pockets and zipper detailing, are an affordable pair. On top, wear a striped tunic shirt; the hemline on this one is asymmetrical, with a longer length in the back, to cover your backside. Next, throw on a navy blazer to give the look a polished edge. Finally, pair the ensemble with neutral flats, like these with a small ruffle detail, and some oversized sunglasses, and you’re good to go!

Look 2: Georgia May Jagger’s Leopard-Accented Ensemble

Georgia May Jagger

Georgia May Jagger, in case you didn’t know, is the daughter of Mick Jagger and supermodel Jerry Hall. And get used to seeing her everywhere – as her modeling career is taking off, she’s quickly becoming a name to know in the fashion world.

As we all know, models these days are sources of inspiration in themselves – their off-the-runway looks are often as innovative and fashion-forward as the looks they sport on the catwalk. This week, Georgia May made a model-off-duty statement, wearing a yellow cocktail dress with leopard-print strappy platforms. I absolutely love the idea of pairing a color like yellow with a print like leopard; it is a totally unexpected yet amazing combination!

Outfit Inspired by Georgia May

Georgia May Jagger Outfit

Blazer (1), Leather Jacket (2), Tie Jacket (3), Dress (in stores only), Shoes, Clutch

To help you recreate Georgia May’s look, I was excited to use a dress from the Lanvin for H&M collection, which debuts this month! The color is divine, and the shape is that of a couture dress — thank you, Alber Ellbaz! The collection hits stores November 20, so if you want this dress, plan to shop that day, before all the pieces fly off the shelves. Paired with a leopard-print heel and a cute clutch, the dress is a trendy alternative to a typical cocktail look.

Of course, being that it is November, I included some jackets to keep you warm. (If you’re on the East Coast like I am, you might want to add some black tights to the look, too!) For this look, I included three possible jacket options: an oversized blazer for a glam look (can’t you see a Kardashian sister rocking it?), a leather motorcycle jacket with an oversized lapel, for a rock and roll aesthetic, and a tie jacket, if you prefer a traditional approach.

Look 3: Jessica Lowndes’ Fall Flared Look

Jessica Lowndes

Jessica Lowndes, of 90210 fame, was looking warm and cute this week in boot-cut denim, a striped sweater, a green zip-up jacket, booties, and a camel scarf. While this look is simple, it’s also an easy way to keep warm while flattering your body and keeping up with trends (olive green and beige are hot fall 2010 colors). I also thought this look was unique – it’s rare to see a celeb rocking non-skinny jeans!  So let’s not forget about the always flattering boot-cut jean, and take a look at how to style this classic like Jessica.

Outfit Inspired by Jessica

Jessica Lowndes Outfit

Jacket, Striped Sweater, Jeans, Scarf, Shoes

To get Jessica’s look, start with some sexy dark wash, body-hugging boot-cut jeans. Then, add a striped top like this ivory and navy one from Urban Outfitters, and add on a beige knit scarf, and an olive green jacket. This jacket features a square shape like Jessica’s, along with a front zipper, and ruffle detailing up the front. Finally, since the jeans are indeed “boot-cut,” add some ankle boots in a dark navy or gray tone; these lace-up ones are so in this season and their chunky stacked heel makes them comfortable.
