The UIL announced Monday that its volleyball state tournament will be held at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland for a second consecutive year. This year’s tournament will be Nov. 21-23.

Pilot Point powerlifter establishes personal 700 club, breaks own record at state meet March 24th, 2013
Pilot Point’s Matt Poursoltani went where no high school powerlifter in Texas has ever gone Saturday. In fact, he’s been doing that regularly.
But on Saturday at the state powerlifting meet in Abilene, Texas, Poursoltani outdid himself. The senior bench pressed 700 pounds, breaking his personal best of 670 set at last week’s regional meet in Ponder.
